Pulagala Kishore's story is one of incredible transformation and resilience. Left with limited support as a semi-orphan, his mother, Appalanarsa, worked as a maid to make ends meet. When Kishore had to leave school in 2nd grade, he found himself on the streets. That's when our Samatha team stepped in, inspiring him to see the power of education and a brighter future. Through our Child Labour Rehabilitation Program, we supported him through his studies until 7th grade, then he continued his education in a government school. Kishore went on to excel academically, eventually completing his MBA in HR and Marketing. Today, he serves in the Police Department, proudly supporting his family and contributing as a responsible citizen. His journey from the streets to a position of respect is a testament to his perseverance and the life-changing impact of our organization’s support.
